Total Land area for the project is 37 acres. Ruhunu Sabaragamu Disaster Relief Fund(RSDRF) has obtained the  land from the government and jungle clearing was done in order to make construction easy. Construction has been started.

Blocking out plan of the site and there are 202 allotments and space for future development-202 houses-All houses are brand new in a 20 perch plot of land.

Village complex consists of a play ground, Community Hall,Library, Pre-School and a Fully equipped children park.

It is plan to complete 50 houses within two months. RSDRF organized a ceremonial commencement of the project by laying foundation stones with donors

Clergy, Community Leaders, Donors,Entrepreneurs and members of the RSDRF were attended the ceremony with the large gathering of victims.

RSDRF is working with outside donors also. They are Radio France and Sri Lanka Solidarity They are helping the RSDRF by providing Technical and financial support. There are individual out side donors who are willing to render their fullest cooperation to achieve the target of the RSDRF.

RSDRF was able to complete a model house in order to establish better idea about the project within the community. The house plan has been approved by government bodies such as Urban Development Authority and the District Secretary of the Hambantota District. Total floor area of the house is 533 sqf. with Two Bed Rooms, Veranda, Living Room,Kitchen and the Toilet. Considering the warm condition of Hambantota area, RSDRF has decided to put Roofing tiles.
